Visiting Stonehenge was a great start to our trip but it was time to get back on the road. Tonight we stay at lovely cottage near Ashford but we stop off at Ascot along the way for the races.

The greatest race horse in the world, Frankel was a runner in the big race of the day so it was an honour to see him in the parade ring.

We edged as close as we could to the finish line to watch the race close-up and muzzled in on John Parrot reporting live for the BBC, claiming Frankel could lose this race and fail to keep his unbeaten record.

This wasn't the case and Frankel ran to victory like the true world-beater he is. Frankel returned to the parade ring for the winners ceremony to the sound of cheering by the 26,000 people in attendance.

The Queen herself presented the award for this race, accompanied by Prince Phillip. We couldn't get close enough for a decent picture but the car sent to pick her up drove right past us.

It was a special day all round and a brilliant last day in England. Tomorrow we go through the Eurotunnel and spend the night in Calais. Tres bien.
